Always be polite and sweet
At your home, in the street.
Remember please, goodbye and thanks,
And you will have a lot of friends.
Teacher: We are going to
speak about …
Pupil: … good manners.
-There is a saying in
English “Manners makes man”.
The expression means that if
you want to be a real man, you have to have good manners.
Let’s
speak about good manners and compare our
and British manners at lesson today

Let’s try to be polite
In everything we do
Remember always to say
“please”
And don’t forget “thank you”
III. Речевая разминка
- Each country has its own unwritten
behavior rules. Britain is no exception.
Look at the blackboard, read behavior
rules of the British people.
-British people usually stand in
line.
– It is very good manners to say “please”, “thank you” in Britain.
– In England when you are first introduced to someone, shake their right
hand with you own right hand.
– English usually say “sorry” if
accidentally bump into someone.
– In England do not greet people with kiss if you are not close
friends and relatives.
– It’s considered impolite to ask a lady her age.
– A smiling face is a welcoming face.
– It is
impolite to stare at anyone in public.
-Well, thank you and now tell me, please , are these manners used in our
country?
Yes, you are right. We must use good manners everywhere: at school, in
the street, at home and so on.

IV. Совершенствование навыков чтения.
-Now I would like you to work with a small text “CULTURAL NOTES
ABOUT BRITAIN”
You must read it and underline the words and phrases which describe
British people. Work in groups.
The British are practical and
realistic, careful about almost everything. The British are said to be a polite
and good-mannered people. Polite words or phrases such as “please’, “thank
you”, Excuse me’ are used very often in Britain. People are angry if you jump
the queue. It is polite to wait your turn in the queue. Queuing is a national
habit. At bus stops and cinemas, in shops, banks and post offices and in lots
of other places you’ll have to join the queue and wait for your turn. People in
Britain will expect you to be polite in the way that is normal to them.
-Are you ready? Read, please

(Ребята, посмотрите, пожалуйста, на
листочки, которые лежат у вас на столе. Вы видите два символа: веселое лицо и
грустное лицо. Если вам понравился урок, вы должны поместить веселое лицо на
доске, если нет – грустное. Дети
размещают на «клумбе» цветочки. Улыбающиеся смайлы - для тех, кто доволен своей
работой на уроке и её результатами, грустные - для тех, чьё настроение
ухудшилось или он не удовлетворён достигнутыми результатами.)
Our lesson is over. Good-bye.
