Цели:  Познакомить учащихся с Соединенным Королевством Великобритании.

Задачи:

• тренировка навыков   чтения, монологической речи, отвечать на вопросы;
• совершенствование лексических навыков;
• актуализация страноведческого материала;
• развитие интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка, культуре и традиций Великобритании.
• воспитание интереса к изучению английского языка.

Тип урока: Введение новой темы

Оборудование: компьютер, интерактивная доска.

                                                           Ход урока

I.                  Organization moment

Good morning, children. Sit down, please.

How are you? Who is on duty today? Who is absent?

II.               Warm-up

                         What season is it now?

                      What is the weather like today?

                      Is it cold (frosty, snowy, foggy, windy, sunny)?

                        What month is it now?

                        When is your birthday?

III.           Цели и задачи урока

Today I’d like to tell you about the UK of Great Britain and Northern Ireland You recognize about parts of the UK. We shall learn some new words, read, answer the questions and do some exercises. And certainly you will play some games. Be attentive. You should remember all new words and the names during the lesson. You will get marks at the end of the lesson.

IV.           Введение новой темы

-      Children, look at the blackboard. Listen, please the name of the country “ The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”. Let’s repeat all together. Look at the map, please.

-      Great Britain is situated on the British Isles. It  consist of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Open your copy-books, write down the date, classwork and the name of the topic.

In the north G.B. is washed by the Atlantic Ocean and in the east of Europe G.B. is washed by the North Sea. The flag of G.B. has three colors: red, blue and white.

-Repeat all together, please: the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea.

-Now listen about parts of the UK. You should be attentive.

-The capital of England is London. Magic England has beautiful landscapes. England is a country of red roses

- The capital of Wales is Cardiff. There are many daffodils in the Wales Valleys

- The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. It is famous for bagpipers. Some men wear kilts. A thistle is the symbol of Scotland.

- The capital of this country is Belfast. The symbol is a shamrock and a red hand.
